Accessibility

Handicap accessibility in the Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, and Land Between The Lakes areas is a top priority.  While there a number of lodging options available, there are also a number of outdoor activities offered for those with disabilities.

Land Between The Lakes is home to several campgrounds with handicap accessibility, including Hillman Ferry Campground, Piney Campground, Energy Lake Campground, and Wranglers Campground

Each campground offers at least one accessible campsite and shower, and each campsite is located in close proximity to the shower buildings.  The Outpost is accessible at Hillman Ferry and Piney campgrounds, and Wranglers Campground is home to two accessible horse mounting ramps.

Handicap-accessible facilities at Land Between The Lakes include the Brandon Spring Group Center, with six accessible dormitories; the Golden Pond Visitor Center, with its accessible visitor center, pavilion, and observatory; the Homeplace 1850's, which features an accessible building and a paved trail; and the Woodlands Nature Station.

Long Creek Trail located next to Honker Lake and the Nature Station, is a handicap-accessible trail.

More information on handicap-accessibility at Land Between The Lakes is available by calling (270) 924-2000 or 800-525-7077.
